The Atelier is an online Creative Draping course were one will experience the process of crafting their own designs  through  a series of online modules and group live sessions.


Through Creative Draping one will create sculptural muslins that will inform the design, using techniques that have been utilized in the famous Fashion Houses of the past century. 


This is an opportunity for one to actualize their own vision from concept to creation. Helping you to find your vision and your voice in order to materialize a profound idea. 


This course teaches one to see. To see from within and translate sight into clothing as design is an expression of feeling. 


One will receive from this course an additional component to their portfolio chronicling their development in the class with muslins, samples, photos and a certificate of completion.

Caroline Simonelli

Mentor, Teacher and Fashion Designer

Caroline Simonelli is a Lebanese/American designer who teaches Fashion Design and Creative Draping in New York City, Brooklyn and Beirut. Caroline teaches at Parsons School of Design-The New School, Pratt Institute, Fashion Institute of Technology as well as, Creative School Beirut, where she is a co-founder. Before teaching, Caroline had a long career as a fashion designer in women’s fashion. Along with her own line of Volume, Plus sizes, Collection and Couture, Caroline has worked in some of the most renowned houses in New York. Caroline is currently designing for CSB RTW brand based in Beirut, Lebanon.

In this 3 part Series one will learn from concept to creation. Each Series is a stand alone course. However the Series builds on each other for a more dynamic experience.

  • Series 1

    This Series is a Creative Draping Concept course. One will learn advanced draping techniques that will inspire creativity and design. Launch date August 2021

  • Series 2

    Making of the Moulage. In this course one will make a custom mannequin to specific measurements. That will allow for custom designing. Launch date Jan 2022.

  • Series 3

    Custom Design course. Utilizing the concepts and the moulage one will design and make a custom garment. Launch date Summer 2022
